COPD is the 4th leading cause of death in the United States COPD can be a tremendous burden for those who remain undiagnosed until the later stages of the disease, when prognosis for positive outcomes is poor.
This first ever, Texas COPD Statewide Summit is a vital step toward
the development of a comprehensive state plan to address this chronic
disease and to work toward taking measures, not only to improve quality
of life indicators for those suffering from COPD, but to also engage in
efforts to prevent the disease altogether.
